If Shadows Had Minds of Their Own

We all know that as the sun sets, shadows grow taller and darker, but I’ve recently discovered that they also seem to come alive!  How curious that they begin to take on a mind of their own when set against a wall during the golden hour.
Something that you may not have known is that it seems that shadows like to pretend they are pregnant, and overdue at that.ShadowsI’ve learned that they like to dance and twirl!ShadowsBut not just twirling, but sometimes head-banging, floor-slapping, out-of-control kind of dancing.ShadowsBut here’s some good advice: if your shadow ever gets too out of control, just give it a good kick! It won’t mind really, I mean I don’t believe they have any feelings…ShadowsYou know, I think it must be a Davidson thing–to play with your shadow. If only the sun didn’t set so quick and take away its magic. I hope there are more walls out there–perfectly facing the sun–to allow you the opportunity to have a little playdate with your shadow.ShadowsSo if I have any suggestions to give you, I’d say take your shadow for a walk and bring your camera along for some exercise; you’ll capture some interesting things!

Hahaha this post was AWESOME- that first shadow really does look prego! And jeeze girl you can JUMP, I can barely get off the ground a foot. And I agree with Sarai, this is TOTALLY like Peter Pan! Bring me a souvenir if you happen to go to Never Never Land ;)
