My siblings and I like to call ourselves explorers and adventurers.  When we see castles as we’re driving on the freeway, we take detours and spend hours climbing onto the walls and running around the castle like we own the place.  Spending so much time with my younger siblings has made me feel more like a kid, but I don’t mind it in the least.  I like to play along with them and listen to the elaborate stories they create.  Sometimes Millay will come to me and say “Tessa! Don’t castles make you wish you were a princess from hundreds of years ago? Can’t you picture the wind blowing through your luscious curls and long majestic skirts!? Oh! And just imagine being courted by a suitor!”  Silas on the other hand has a sling shot that he carries in his back pocket everywhere we go and the second we’re out of the car, you’ve got to watch your head because there are rocks sailing through the air.  Sometimes, he’ll pretend he’s a knight and he’ll choose a sign or a spot on a wall that marks the target that he must hit to prove he’s the best knight (or thief) in the land.  I think if I were to go back hundreds of years, I’d be some sort of nursery maid, trailing along behind these awesome kids;)  We’re a team. And our modo? Adventure is out there!

These are absolutely wonderful pictures!! So enchanting! I love going on adventures with my two younger brothers as well! We don’t have time for exploring right now unfortunately with all of us in college, but when we were younger we would explore forests and trails with our dad. Exploring is the best!
